PA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
LICENSED DRUG AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT FACILITY
In 1998, Addison expanded its prevention and intervention services to include outpatient alcohol and other drug treatment services. Addison
Behavioral Care, Inc.'s substance abuse treatment philosophy is that
"Substance abuse is a chronically relapsing disorder" and that
substance abusers can benefit from a variety of treatment approaches. Using a Cognitive
Behavioral Module, we believe in
providing extended treatment experiences that are culturally sensitive and
gender specific, utilizing strategies which address the individual, his or her
family, social support group and peers in the context not only of the program,
but in his/her home and community.
The program goal is to provide
underinsured and uninsured adolescents and adults with treatment services that
strengthen the family and support re-education of the substance abuser with a
sense of social responsibility and empowerment. ABC Inc. provides drug and
alcohol assessments, weekly individual counseling, group and family counseling
and supportive services on an outpatient basis.
